Javier Payan
President and CEO
Javier founded Payan Pool Service in 1987. He has over 30 years of experience in servicing swimming pools, water chemistry, pool repairs, equipment installation, and pool remodeling.
California Licensed Contractor. Certified pool operator. Pool safety advocate with Safe Kids San Diego, National Drowning Prevention Alliance, and more.
Javier enjoys music and concert-going, family, and dreaming of owning another black lab.
Valerie Venegas
Office Manager
Valerie has more than 20 years of administrative and office management experience, in addition to being bilingual (English and Spanish).
She is responsible for organizing all of the administrative activities that facilitate a smooth running office, in addition to overseeing all company operations.
Valerie enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, and a great glass of red wine.
Kris Booze
Repair Coordinator
A native of Colorado, Kris has been with Payan Pool Service since 2012. Prior to joining us (he started as a Service Technician), he had a 6-year stint at a large water park. He now does a tremendous job of patiently and skillfully managing our repair department, which is always in high demand.
Kris and his wife have been together for over 20 years. He enjoys sports, history, movies, dogs, and above all, being a dad.
Scott Olmsted
Support Specialist
Scott was born and raised in San Diego. He is relatively new to pools, having spent over 24 years in the flooring industry. At Payan, “Scott O” handles an array of duties that keep our Service department running smoothly. He is always ready for anything!
He loves the desert and spontaneous trips to Las Vegas, but he is just as happy working around the house or in the garage. In his spare time, Scott likes to play softball … and the guitar.
Amanda Charles
Office Assistant
Originally from Louisiana, Amanda joined Payan Pool Service Service in August 2022 with more than 10 years of customer service and operations experience.
She handles incoming calls, customer support, and supporting the repair department, in addition to billing and accounts receivable.
On weekends, Amanda is likely to be out-and-about with her children, preferably at the beach!
Scott Ferguson
Director of Growth and Development
A 23-year veteran of the pool and spa industry, Scott came to Payan Pool Service in July 2022 to help with systems and processes, software, strategic planning, marketing, and more.
Originally from New Jersey, he is a graduate of the University of Miami and has lived in southern California since 2006.
When not at work Scott plays golf, walks his two dogs, and admires his wife.
Toula Payan
Office Coordinator
Part of the Payan team starting in 2022, Toula assists with customer service, scheduling, billing, and much more. She also maintains a stellar GPA at a local college, where she is studying studio arts and design.
When Toula is off the clock, she likes to go to concerts, find unique clothes at thrift stores, and play electric guitar.
